Vision Statement
It is the vision of the Helena Business Association (HBA) to be best known for meeting our customer’s needs via quality and dependability and for helping the City of Helena be acknowledged as the friendliest city in Alabama.
HBA's Mission
The HBA has a three fold mission. The first is to inform and educate the citizens of Helena of the many and varied products and services available within our fine city and provide them with the friendliest and best shopping experience anywhere. Second, the Association members will continually shine the spotlight on Helena as a wonderful city in which to live, shop and grow and continually focus citizen attention on why “shopping in Helena” brings a better quality of life for everyone via improved municipal services, schools, parks, roads and civic events. Third, Association members will commit to unsurpassed cooperation among themselves in the interest of developing their respective businesses and providing for the welfare of the people of Helena.
HBA's Goals
- To develop an operational plan to meet the goals of the Association and keep the Association viable, efficient, and effective.
- To conduct focus group meetings with randomly selected Helena citizens for the purpose of learning how the business, professional, and government people can be of better service in meeting their needs.
- To have fifty-percent of all Helena business and professional service providers become members of the Helena Business and Professional Association at all times.
- To establish and maintain a variety of means to be in contact with the citizens of Helena at least monthly.
- To create and present varied business projects solely intended to better the quality of life for Helena’s citizens and promote the business and professional services of Association members.
- To determine unique ways to welcome new merchant and service providers to the City of Helena.
- To initiate a program to recruit new and needed businesses and services to Helena.
- To establish a “speaker’s bureau” composed of HBPA members and others to educate and entertain citizen groups.
- To develop a variety of training and education programs for Association members that will enable them to better serve their customers.
